Maya 2015 fixed some issues with mental ray object lights. The concrete room was from a project from last year. I remember banging my head against the wall until I found out it was one insignificant switch.This version had some updated textures and other experiments with the MILA shaders. I might make a goal of a half dozen environments to use as stages for future dailies when I get back to creature and character sculpts.
The pine trees are from paint effects and are much more efficient than ZBrush’s. I think there’s a way to do optimize the needles in ZBrush. I’ll have to look into it.
