New sIBL Sets
I’ve made myself busy this year with a new panoramic tripod head. I’m looking forward to animating in these environments.
I’m making these free to the CG Community. I just ask that you credit me and shoot me an email if you use them in something.
Edit: Maybe it’s my virus protection on Firefox, but the download hangs and won’t finish on some of these. I tried it in Chrome and everything worked fine.

That’s interesting. The originals all have backplates. I’ll have to look into it.

I checked, the backplates are all included. Are you asking about the original hdr files? I was considering posting those up as well.

Where is the download link ?

The links should be back up. I just did a major overhaul of the site and forgot to activate the plug-in. Thanks for the heads up.

Very nice thank you so much for these sweet looking hdris !
I have one question though, none of these include background plates, like non distorted stills to use for compositing. How do you make the background in your images to be non distorted, do you wrap the wide lens image on a sphere on a 3D program or do you have another way of making them ? Because I lose some quality doing so, and I’d like to use these as a still for the environement as well as the indirect lighting and relfections.
Thanks again.

No backplates for these. I just use the spherical backplate from the sIBL. You’re right, there is a certain loss in image quality. My future sIBL sets will include backplates. For now I just use them to quickly light and render concepts.
